Anjappar Authentic Indian Chettinad Restaurant

I recently visited Anjappar Authentic Indian Chettinad Restaurant at Colombo and had a fantastic experience! The Chettinad-style curries were bursting with rich, aromatic spices and bold flavors, while the Chicken 65 had the perfect kick. The Chicken Biryani was beautifully fragrant with tender meat and fluffy rice . The service was warm and attentive, and the cozy, vibrant ambiance made for a truly enjoyable meal. Whether you're a fan of South Indian cuisine or eager to try something new, Anjappar is a must-visit destination!

We visited Anjappar restaurant tonight as a group of 14, and we were all starving. We ordered 14 different dishes, and to our delight, everything was served promptly. The food was warm and authentically delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Special thanks to Mr. Vishnu and the entire Anjappar team. We will miss your food and will definitely be back soon!

A must try place for indian authentic cuisine. The location was very easy to find. The ambience is so cool with some old photographs and some wall illustrations/paintings. The food is filled with spices and aroma, one of the best i had in recent times. We had chicken 65 biriyani, kottu porota, lime mint, pine apple juice, pine apple kesari, goli soda (panneer), chicken rasam for our lunch. Chicken rasam is a mus try one and also the lime mint. The food served very neat and clean. And tasted so so good. Fantastic experience having food here.

I have been to this place several times. The food is good but I have experienced the food quality drop at peek hours. So hopefully they will keep the ficus up on these critical hours. Prices are reasonable. Good Ambiance, large space. You can have a small cabin-like setup for a family or small group of friends. Service is Good. They do take actions for your feedback in social media and in person, so feel free to give some constructive feedback to help them. Good car park space. Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful experience at this Anjappar restaurant. The food was incredibly flavorful and clearly made with care. Chandramohan, who took our orders, was warm and attentive. The staff was consistently friendly, always serving with a welcoming smile. Highly recommended!

Compared to the locations in LA, the atmosphere is electrifying. We had their most popular mutton bone soup it wasn’t delicious. The biriyani was average but the Thalis were amazing. Service was slow but the waiting staff were great.
